Camp

A gorgeous room to finish off the week. Light and white, with pops of blue and a vase of 'happy' flowers...perfect. Birdies are cute too.

Getting big son ready for a 4 day school camp, starting this weekend.....on an island, in tents, with lots of swimming and water fun. Won't his washing be fragrant next Wednesday! I am packing stuff I can bin on his return. Little one is not going to cope with his absence. Might have to rope in my 'instant new best friend's' son, from next door, to fill in as big brother, while real brother is away. Have a great weekend. See you Monday.

  1. How cute. I am yet to experience the world of school camps. I think I will be a nervous wreck when it comes about!

  2. About those "happy" flowers...I have a framed oil pastel of a LARGE sunflower that my 12 year old daughter created during her first year at school. It doesn't "go" with ANYTHING in my house, let alone kitchen, but it brings me joy and reminds me that my creativity is being passed on to her.
My hubby always goes on camp as parent helper...takes alot of the worry out of the experience (for me that is,lol).

  3. The camps start in Year Two at my boys school! Far too young I believe... and because NO parent helpers are allowed on the camps (something about making them men), my 'big one' did not go on the Year Two camp when he was in Year Two. He wasn't even independent enough to regulate the shower temperature. We went to a theme park instead. The stories that come back with the boys in the higher grades are still not for the faint hearted... I'm ok with 'big one' now as I know he is responsible and can take care of himself but 'little one' next year, in Year 2?.... 'Movieworld' I think! Shhh, don't tell anyone. A-M xx

  5. Its wonderful to come back to your blog AM and to look at all the most delightful and beautiful pictures of your completed new home! I must get back to blogging and catching up with everybody as I have been travelling for the last month. I hope you have managed to clean all the red dust out of your rooms!

  6. Sounds like so much fun with camp and swimming and all. My son is off to something totally different - ice skating/bandy. I wish you all a great weekend and I hope the little one can cope with the absence of the big one. Petra
