Well It's Been 6 Months......

... and even the spiders are feeling right at home on my weathervane!

I thought I'd finish the week with our pool. The pots for the pool area and front terrace have arrived. 900kg of them! The big urns are in position on our front terrace but it was exhausting work so the pool ones will be carted up the side to the pool area on the weekend. Now for some greenery. Should make a big difference. A BBQ would be nice too. Slowly, slowly. After all it's only been 6 months!
Have a great weekend all.

  5. Thanks girls. Rachael - Woodworkers, ask for Brian.... he's so patient. Woodworkers came in at the best price and they use cedar not Environwood(pine). The aluminium quote was $25K dearer...can you believe that! I exhausted all avenues with my windows and doors quotes. I got 7 quotes, wood and aluminium. I would use Woodworkers again in a heartbeat. Commission please. A-M xx

  6. So funny you mention bugs. I remember moving into my new house and thinking my old house must have had a lot of bugs. A few months later they all found me again!

  8. When you think about it though, 6 months isn't that long and considering all of the trials you had getting there, you do need a cause to celebrate. I think a BBQ would be a marvelous idea! Wish I could be there to crash it.

  9. We are having a massive plague of spiders here in the Hills caused by the late rain & then extreme heat. MOTH suggested last night I get off my broom & actually use it to send the spiders packing. I think he's fed up my Millie Grumps.

P.S. Go easy with those pots, if they rolled back onto your foot we may be sharing the same pair of crutches!

  12. I had to look twice to see I wasn't looking at another Sotheby's estate. Your pool area is looking fabulous - can't wait to see the pots. Hope you have a lovely and cool weekend. Leigh P.S. I spent yesterday humming "I Can See Clearly Now" - couldn't get it out of my head!

  14. I can't wait to see what you do with greenery! There is a huge file of garden inspiration on my desktop that will sadly sit there for some time, I'm sure. My husband has done wonders with our garden on our tiny budget, but I can only imagine what you'll cook up for your own home! PS I can see clearly now is now in my head, too...I agree with BF!

  16. Amazing - has it already been 6 months? I was just looking at the calendar in amazement, because it is the American holiday Thanksgiving next week. Where has the time gone? Starting to get into a panic about Christmas...I have done so little shopping.

Thank you for the wonderful and encouraging comments on the little one's blog! For the first time, my daughter really understood the worldwide threads that connect us bloggers. She could not believe that someone from Australia was commenting on her blog, and I think she was the 'rock star' of the class today because of all of the comments and visitors on her blog today! Have a wonderful weekend, and thank you again!

We too were thinking about putting in a pool where we are but considering its always 4 degrees cooler than the rest of Melbourne up here on our mountain, we just dont see the point. Mind you your lovely pool area has inspired me again!! Gee I love the colours on your house, just gorgeous
