Monday Nook

Hello morning sun!

Not the prettiest Monday Nook I could muster up but a very satisfying one. The BBQ assembly is complete. Took a while...the instructions were woeful... well useless actually .... but once we worked it all out... the end product is just perfect.... and has already been put to good use! Ahhh.... something else to clean.. don't ya love it!
Happy Monday!
A-M xx

A perfect fit!

  2. I am just loving your house...it is so beautiful. It looks peaceful, clean, and airy...oh, and to see the sun. I wish I was there right now. It's 10 degrees here today.

  3. Love that outdoor kitchen A-M. think there should be rules that hubby cleans outside and you clean inside. Just make sure you use that BBQ a lot as in summer you know how hot the house can become when turning the oven on so I would definetly be making the most of this beast. Sandy

  5. Wow - that BBQ is beautiful! Are you sure it goes outside? I've never seen such a nice one. Goes perfectly with your pool and outdoor living. We got a Weber BBQ (our first one) last year and had it out on the open deck - hubby was watching the food cook and I was inside and notice heat waves rising and came out and told him to move it further from the house siding. In just that little bit of time the siding started to soften. Now we set it in the middle of the deck away from everything. As nice as they are it is, as you say, another THING to clean. But have fun with it anyways.

  7. It's a 'Matador' from Bunnings! Fantastic bang for your buck!.... totally beat the quotes we got for a built-in outdoor kitchen and other BBQ places. Took us 7 months to decide.... after much research. Love the research! A-M xx

  18. I've been noticing this phenonemon too, bigger home - more cleaning!

Q: Did you build your kitchen to fit that white double door glass cabinet on the back wall, or was that a purchase post build??

  22. Thanks for all your comments girls. Annie, I schemed the kitchen around that cabinet. For a while there I thought it just might not fit as that bulkhead above it came out of nowhere (due to a surprise metal support beam not on the plans.... go figure). Come to think of it, how on earth did I survive this build? I had many scarey moments. A-M xx

  23. funny, it doesn't look like you "schemed" around it yet it looks perfect - I get you re: surviving a build!!! we're only nearly there now too! (BUT fabulous kitchen - need I even say so...!) xx

  24. Excellent job you guys! When MOTH put our new one together last year, it took me 2 hours to visit all our immediate neighbours apologizing for the shocking language they were exposed too. Teeny tiny screws made for teeny tiny hands, so MOTH struggled big time with his hands that make a party platter look small!
