It's lovely, homey nooks like these that remind me that I am sort of missing all my 'things'... you know, all the stuff I have in boxes in our storage shed while we live our minimalist life here in our little apartment. It will be like Christmas when I meet all my pretties again.
Oh I so know what you mean! All my crafty treasures and fabrics are still packed away after a year and a half. I just can't wait to unpack them soon. And not to forget all my favourite books. It will be like Christmas to see them all again.
ReplyDeleteHopefully you don't have to wait too long!
Sounds like itchy feet are setting in... I hope you are having some luck in your land search. We have been here two and a bit years and I am still sorting. ;-)
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean :0) It's good to look forward to though!
ReplyDeleteAmen to that.
ReplyDeleteTwo years next month for me as a member of the storage brigade. Account is due also...ouch.
I look forward to my 'Christmas' hopefully happening earlyish next year.
Can't wait.
xx
Love this piccy! Roll on Christmas! KG
ReplyDeleteBe strong! Your day will come again :)
ReplyDeleteI just adore the homely feel of this staircase :)
ReplyDeleteThis is one of the upsides of moving isn't it? After many years of moving every two years even opening the boxes at the other end and putting the same thing in a different place was fun.
ReplyDeleteOh that's a cute book nook A-M, don't worry you will be reunited soon.XX
ReplyDeleteI really feel for you A-M. Having just spent a few days in a tiny Port Melbourne terrace, bereft of any warmth (or cleanliness for that matter), I am so enjoying being home with all my things. Won't it be exciting when you move into your next dream home and unpack all your treasures..Rachaelxx
ReplyDeleteI know exactly what you mean, we have had half our life in storage for 18mth's & still have probably 6-8months ahead of us. I don't know haw many times we have wanted to use something that is in storage. good luck with your land search & building design!
ReplyDeleteOh dear, I know what you mean. When we had our last house for sale, I put all the excess in a rented storage, after a while I didn't even remember what I had anymore!
ReplyDelete....and its the "things" that make you feel homely and settled....I know how to helo you get this back....twinkle your nose side to side without your fingers and imagine your in your new house......No...that must just be for Samantha.
ReplyDeleteSorry A-M, I am hoping the new home arrives sooner rather than later.
I felt exactly the same way.
Hang in there, A-M. It will be such a thrill being reunited again! What a perfect use of space and I particuarly love the two globes. I am on the hunt myself - anyone have any tips where I can find one? J x
ReplyDeleteI am in the same boat! We downsized from a 2,400 sf house to an 800 sf apartment and I kept only the things "I LOVED". Well now we are about to downsize from an 800 sf apartment to an over the truck camper because living in an apartment is closing in on us. At least we will be on our land ... What I'm missing the most is my art, I'm obsessed with taking pictures and have so many of cherished moments, I guess that's what facebook photo albums are for.
