Seen Everything?

... well how about slipcovers for car seats! Why not make your car pretty as well as your home? It's a sign..... my new car is white... I think I need some blue ticking slipcovers for mine. Maybe I could sweet talk Ness into making some for me! What do you think?
Happy Monday!

Its why car designers are male! A sensible woman designer would be more inventive -as shown!

No no no! I'm having enough trouble selecting fabrics for chairs and ottomans in the study - if I have to decorate the car as well I think I'll go mad! Leigh

A-M I think you may have gone soft in the head! Is it Monday-itis? There is no good reason for floral carseat slip covers-none...:-)

I think I am joking... but for a brief moment there I regressed to my Holly Hobbie days. A-M xx

Not sure about floral car seat covers but blue and white stripes might look good. I must say I do love the leather seats in my car though. G

Personally, I love the idea! Maybe not the floral so much, but a nice linen or soft cashmere for winter!
I share a car with hubby, so I dont think it is going to happen. Ohh the possibilities, I could have a little matching car seat cover for bubba too.

You know, that's not a bad idea. I think a stripe could look great! K xx

Hi A-Me
These covers are certainly prettier than some of the gross carseat cover selections found in auto shops although I couldn't sit on a floral pattern (ha yes too holly hobby)
Ticking maybe.
I'll stick with my leather seats...luv em.
Are you loving your new car? What's the interior colour?

It's kinda like the final frontier in decorating really. Homes, cars, no one and nothing is safe!

Sure beats those Playboy bunny ones, which seem to be the 'girly' alternative offered by car seat makers. Blue ticking would be cool.

The way my children operate in the backseat, a washable slip cover could be practical; and pretty apparently. No I'm seeing more a soft denim for me. Practical, so practical...

ALL car seats should be banned. ALL. ALL. ALL.
I just know you're only teasing... I was trying to imagine your boys if you pulled up outside school and opened the door to show these!! A x

not sure about the floral, but it is practical! you know my business is pram, carseat and capsule liners / covers for bubs. But i'm just as messy as they are - I've often thought I need one myself!!

Thanks for your comments girls. I didn't mean to alarm anyone.... tongue in cheek.... but I agree it is kinda like the final frontier in decorating!... and really...wouldn't it be practical! A-Mi, loving the new car, keeping in mind I haven't had a new car since airbags were invented, the whole safety thing is an excitement in itself. Went for the black interior... with 2 soccer boys.....A-Me xx

Curly pile car seat covers used to be quite usual in Finland abt. 15 years ago in winter in older cars. Nowadays car seat warmers are standard in new cars, so extra warming seat covers aren't needed anymore.

For families with small children car seat covers could be practical, but I believe I will pass this "trend".

LOL...for people with a little too much time on their hands maybe!
Given the unjustified flack that women get about our driving, can you imagine what floral slip covers would do for our reputations? :D

You haven't had a new car since airbags were invented? Wow ...well you were long overdue to get all 'safety~ed up'. Have fun with the new wheels!

Lol I drive my husband's car- a black sports car. Somehow I don't think he would be thrilled with this idea:)

There are wonderful outdoor fabrics in pretty colors and patterns out there that would make great seatcovers. And I like this one!

Funny enough when I lived in Taiwan they used to put lace-like doilies on their car seats. I used to think it was because the cars all had leather seats and in the +35 degree heat it saved the backside from burning onto the leather!
