Someone Else Needs You

Image sent to me by Jules, at the Diversion Project. Thanks Jules.

I've been to hell and I'm working on the "and back" bit. Your love and support has been powerful stuff, getting me to the point where, this morning at 4am (not too good with the sleep stuff), I am sitting here worrying about someone else's tough journey.... other than mine and my boys.

Please visit darling Jane, at 'My Pear Tree House'. She's about to hit the first stage of grief and she's gonna need you. You have no idea how much your gentle words of comfort can help. You've carried me through the worst 6 weeks of my life.
Thank. You.

  1. Oh A-M I'm in shock...I've just checked in with you and your blog after months away and am so sorry to read that you've been having the worst time of it lately.

What ever is going on I sincerely wish you the very best of luck...and a good nights sleep or two..

    with much love,
    Mrs C xx

  2. Dear A-M, the journey through a hard time, more known as "hell" sometimes may take longer than what we wish. But during this time we learn that we are stronger than we imagined. We stand up taller after all the bad stuff has passed. I have been there for too long, but I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. Friends are truly the only ones who can carry us during this time. I wish I could help! My love to you!

  3. So glad a ray of light is shining on your world again A-M, I've been thinking of you!

I will go visit Jane's blog and send her some love too!

    XO my friend!

  4. A-M, I'm glad that you're working on the "and back" bit. You'll get there. When I heard about Jane, I actually thought a lot about you too. Life can really suck in a big way...but I guess when the good times come again, as it eventually does, you appreciate it even more. Sending you and your sons warm hugs. x Anita

  5. Dear A-M it is so good to see you making a little post. 2 in such a short time. Slowly does it. I felt so bad to hear about wobly yesterday. I hope the boys have forgiven themselves and the diners.
Healing is a long slow process and not something that will be rushed.
    One day...

  6. Hello AM

I've been thinking a lot about you and the children this week, because I keep remembering a poem that is often read at funerals about sorrow falling drop by drop onto the heart.

I've visited your friend's blog and left her a message. And I'm going to say the same thing to you that I said to her- in the words of Elizabeth Taylor (a true survivor-remember when her husband was killed in that plane crash after the birth of their daughter?), "Now is the time for Guts".

Damn Straight AM. There's something in that for all of us, no matter what our own journey is.

  7. Hello A-M, I've been wanting to send my best wishes, but felt like an intruder in your grief. What a wonderful, unselfish person you are, to ask for our help with Jane- I've visited her blog and commented-she semms a lovely girl, and I'll be thinking of her, and of you and your boys in this Christmas season.
To be thinking of others at this difficult time, shows, I think, what a lovely person you are.

  8. Bless you and your precious boys
A-M, your strength and courage is inspiring.

  9. Simone at Honey and Fizz made a lovely suggestion about supporting Jane, you and others out there who need our love so I have passed it on, we all need to pass it on and may be it will work! Lovely to see you gaining the strength to return to us.
hugs and prayers as always Julienne xx

  10. Good for you, Sweetie, reaching out to Jane in the middle of your distress. Yet more proof of that enormous heart of yours. J x

  11. A-M so thoughtful you are, and this is why we will keep carrying you until you can walk again.God Bless you and your precious boys.

  12. What a gorgeous Woman you are. Even with what you are dealing with you still have the heart to wish well for someone else. I hope Jane can pull from your strength.
    Ness xx

  13. I admire your kind and caring heart. I have reached out to Jane and sent words of support. That's what it's about, isn't it, sharing support and comfort through the rough patches. We pull each other through. One hand reaching out to the other. The sisterhood of women. United, we can do anything.

  14. Hi A-M,
At this time of year you remind me of what the most important thing in life is - LOVE.

We are all Brothers (and Sisters) and it's the humanity in all of us that helps us feel for people we don't even know (I think Ruth said something to this effect on Spooks last night lol). It resonated with me and is so evident here :)

Love to you and the boys (and the surviving critters) xxx

  15. Hi A-M, have been thinking of you and hoping you would blog even a little bit. So good to hear your "voice" again, Mel xx

  16. It sounds a bit silly but I really appreciate that you and Jane are willing to share your grief and struggles with us. It helps me feel connected. I struggle with how much I should tell anyone in my life. It's hard. I'll be thinking of Jane tomorrow :)

  17. Check you out thinking of others when you're so down, love that quote from Elizabeth Taylor - you have guts too!! Love Posie

  18. Hey honey, you will get to the back bit and you will be happy..believe that!

I was so so sad about Jane, we will all have our postive thoughts and prayers going out to her thats for sure.

    xoxo DJ

  19. Consider it done .......... thinking warm thoughts of you and your boys today.

  20. The beautiful thing about you working on the "and back" bit means you are on your way back and you'll be better than ever! Still thinking of you and the boys every day and sending you all the biggest hugs!

Merry Christmas A-M :). Loving and missing you so much.

  21. It's not so much coming back A-M - it's moving forward and that's what you are doing so beautifully. It takes time, strength and determination and you have all three. Just know that once Jan 1 swings into place the year is going to be a whole lot better and brighter. Here's to you - and your boys. xxxxx

  22. I went to visit. Am devastated for her. The feather image is beautiful. Hope you are taking those words on board.

  23. One day at a time, my thoughts are still with you.

  24. Hello AM,
I am in Russia and Scandinavia for Christmas, to see the REAL Santa Claus.
We visited the Hermitage in St Petersburg, and I could not help but think of you as I snapped photos in the House (palace actually) that the Tsars Built.

I am going to post some photos for you to get your creative juices flowing again.

I know it's Christmas etc etc etc - but I a bossy elder sister (ask Paddy from Shop Smart) and I've decided to join FF in giving you projects.
    Tee Hee,

All the best for Christmas, which is of course all about making the kids feel loved, and that's your your specialty.
    Louise from Townsville

  25. I have just returned to the blog world after some trying times, and was so shocked and sad to hear of your pain ... your blog has been an inspiration to me. I will be looking at the moon tonight and send you my thoughts and prayers xx

  26. Dear A-M,

I feel the wind billowing your sails.
Who knows where it will take you and your boys? I've a feeling it's going to be a grand adventure. Why? Because of your your loving nature, and your tenacious spirit and, of course, look who your sweet, little partners are.

Peaceful holidays to you and your lovely family.

  27. Blessings to you and your boys with their creature friends this Christmas season and looking forward to the "and back" after the new year.

  28. Thankyou for passing this on A-M , I believe in the power of love & support to heal.
I only wish I had been in the blogging world when I had to deal with what seemed like a major health challenge 4 years ago. It took me two years to work through the negative thoughts in my head seemingly on my own , as people close to me sadly didnt know what to say or do. It brings tears to my eyes just thinking about it all over again.
I hope Jane will find strength in the positive & caring messages as I can see is helping you.
    Karyn x

  29. Dearest A-M, thank you so much for pointing me in the direction of Jane. Blog love now sent...and more blog love and hugs to you dear one. Hope this Christmas finds you some joy. Love and hugs, Emma.

  30. You are pretty amazing AM! Pretty darn wonderful...

  31. Wishing you a wonderful start of 2011 (a bit in advance)! :-)

Thanks for stopping by and taking the time to leave me a comment. I love hearing from you. A-M xx
