Cautiously Optimistic
The river peak was over 1 metre less than expected. We would have been under at 5.5m. I am cautiously optimistic. My friends and I have been doing our maths all morning based on photos of the complex's submerged underground carpark a few days ago. We can't get over the river as all the roads are under. I will try tomorrow. I might still have "the chair". The boys might still have their lizards. Cross everything for me. Everything!

A-M, everything is crossed for you and I am still amazed at your strength......you really have had to start again in life and all I can say is....I hope you have been writing it all down when your not writing it here, as there has to be a book for helping others at the end of all this.
That's it, your new start will be a book deal coming your way.
When you get back to your apartment there will be a very dry "the chair" with some very dry lizards perched on top. Fingers Crossed.

You three are constantly in my thoughts as are Nigel and Brian. All yesterday I was praying that the water wouldn't rise above the top of their vivarium and that the seals would hold any water at bay - hoping for a miracle really. When you mentioned your little boy crying out in his sleep my heart was breaking. I'm hoping and praying that it will be good news. x

I've just put my fish in a tub with a battery air pump to take on a short break to Sydney & have been thinking of you, your boys & their lizards, i'm travelling like i'm fleeing when really i just don't trust our fish (which we new to owning) will cope 2 nights home alone).
