Hi A-M, so glad you have found this book. I went thru a difficult time about 5 years ago and came across this book at that time. It is amazing to see yourself so well described and realise you've trapped yourself all these years. I'm sorry i gave my copy away but i think the lessons stay with you.
So true. I volunteer at a nursing home and when the residents thank me for being there it embarrasses me because I get so much more from them than I give. The love we give is the love that fills us to the brink.
Dear AM, Very true. But funny how the simplest things people often find the hardest to do and take the longest time to learn. The next cameo is yours for sure...(good things come to those who wait I have heard,ha) hope you have a lovely day,xx Katherine
So very true. Like that cliche about loving something enough to give it away - if it comes back to you it's yours - if it doesn't it was never meant to be. The real way to receive in life is to keep giving away. You get it A-M. Have a fantastic weekend!
Hi A-M, I just wanted to say thank you. 18 months ago I married a farmer and moved from the Gold Coast to a small country town in South Australia. For months I felt blessed but lost, not sure how to be myself in a very different landscape. When I discovered your blog, I was inspired to begin to build a beautiful home and life. I have a long way to go, but I take delight in the journey every day. Warmest thanks. Brooke.x
This is where I muse about home design, interiors, my life, my boys and stuff that sort of stops my heart. I have an online store full of my favourite Hamptons style lighting over at www.capecoddesigns.com.au ... and ... I'm currently planning my next house build.

ReplyDeleteThat is very true, I guess it's another way of saying "It's better to give, than receive".
ReplyDeleteThanks for your thought!
