... and had a big sort and a big 'potter'. I had lots of energy as I had just done my run. I moved heaven and earth and then collapsed in a heap mid morning. Thank goodness for my Nespresso machine.
So I was thinking that I need a bit glamour around here...... and I also need to give a little something back to you. You don't know how much you give to me. Behind the scenes, this little bloggy of mine just feeds my soul.
Soooooo..... this is a 'Giveaway'! I know. It's been a long time between drinks/giveaways.
I rummaged around and found some pretties from Villa Maison amongst my stock pile. My favourites. All you have to do to be in the draw for any of these pretties is to leave me a comment, that's it. Just introduce yourself. Oh and you might like to mention which one of my goodies takes your fancy. It would be nice to match up a winner with something they actually like.
Entries welcome to 'non followers', 'lurkers', 'sporadic readers', 'random browsers', my 'hard core regulars'.... and heck, even those who have left 'this place' due to all the mud and drama. Would love to meet you if I haven't already.
So here are the goodies:
A set of 4 silver metal, starfish napkin rings.
Bit blurry sorry - iphone and shaky hands from lifting boxes.
Set of 4 ceramic knobs - how gorgeous would these look on a kitchen dresser!
I'm impressed with my styling here.. except for the plastic on the chair arms.
A beautiful silver, French cake stand - I have one in my bathroom with all my perfumes sitting on it.
Stole that idea from Katrina.
A beautiful clear crystal beaded long necklace - double knots between beads.
My wardrobe staple.
From Creatively Active Minds (I sort of miss selling jewellery... their severely gorgeous trade displays used to make me faint with excitement)
Ok, so entries open until say Friday next week. 18th February. Will get my barrel boys to do the draw thing on Friday night and announce that weekend. We will draw a winner for each item. Yay.
Good luck!

8.20am Addendum: My heart is breaking already as I want to give you all something. Just between you and me, I have 3 of those gorgeous necklaces to give away. As my brothers say to me all the time, "shirt off my back".... and loving it.

Hi A.M I have been following your blog ever since "The House" stole my heart in Home Beautiful. There was not one thing I didn't love and that has never happened to me before. So sorry that you have been through a bit of a rough patch but I am very glad to see you coming through the other side. I must admit that you inspired me to start my own blog.
Love Sheryn
P.S I am loving that necklace ;)

Hi AM,
I am AM as well but my name is Andrea Marie. I am a mother of 3, aged 14 (daughter), 12 (boy) and 7 (boy). I live in Christchurch where we are still shaking in our boots from time to time after September and subsequent earthquakes. A year ago I went back to part time work after being a full time Mum and sadly at the end of the month I will be redundant. I was thinking what next and saw your C25k post and have downloaded to my MP3...today is the day!
I love those beads! Have a great day
AM

Hi A-M,
I'm Georgia, faithful reader (first thing I do every morning when I turn on my computer)and fellow blogger (still finding my feet there but I was inspired to start after following your journey). Villa Maison is quite simply my favorite shop, when I'm in their shop in Cheltenham (which is often)I am at peace.I wish I could just move in to the showroom.
Love all your giveaways but I could see the silver stand in my bathroom with shells and a piece of coral with my grandmas pearls draped stylishly over the pearls. Oh how I love rearranging my trinkets around the house. If I am the lucky one I'll send you a photo.............
Me me me I want that cake stand or necklace so so so gorgeous. Jesse the science PhD student here :)

Daily obsessive reader - first thing i look at each and every morning!! Adore the cake stand, it makes me want to whip up something fabulous in a jiffy!!
Doesn't it feel good to declutter? I've been doing it for months. Thanks for your great blog, and I LOVE the French clock face knobs.
That's such a nice thing for you to do given all the strain you've been under. I must try that running thing of which you speak :) I'm a bit partial to the cake stand but gee, any of these would be wonderful. Hope you have a terrific day.
Oh my, what fabulous prizes. I love the cake stand :) Thankyou for the chance to enter!
Oh A-M, I think i might just move into your shed!!
Your energy & enthusiasm is very inspiring at the moment, Im actually motivated to get back on the exercise wagon & I thank you for this.
That silver cake stand is to die for, stunning!!!
Have a great day!!
gorgeous gifts! Looks like a great treasure trove you got there!
May I have the whole insides of the shed? ....it looks like Aladdin's Cave, I would happily dive in there for hours..love the cake stand and love it all.
We lost our baby son Harry in 2008 to a broken artery in his heart and I remember constantly having my Winston Churchill quotes amongst all the other magnetised quotes on the fridge - the fridge looked like it had magnet pox, "If you are going through hell, keep going"- Winston Churchill + one of my favourites "There will be sunshine after rain. There will be laughter after pain."
A bit of "mud" makes us better and more altruistic people I think and it makes us realise who are true friends are...you are doing fabulously.
Glad to see you are getting back on your feet again (in more ways then one )LOL. If you pop my name in the the barrel I would be be happy to win any of those prizes (Though I do LOve that cake stand).
You are certainly an inspiration to all of us who moan about the stresses of our lives.
Yesterday I was feeling down but reading your posts and watching you pull yourself out of such a low makes me pick myself up and get movitated.
Our house is within 8 weeks of being finished. We have taken so much inspiration from your lovely build and would love to share the final pictures with you when we are done. ( can take a sneek peek on my blog)
Love the cake stand, would look stunning in my lovely kitchen.
Take care.
Mekaela
A-M, once again you are inspiring me to put on my sandshoes! Always remember although you are getting strength from others there is always someone getting strength from your blog as well. I love the cake stand and beaded necklace!
All the best.
Lisa K
Oh darling I caught my breath upon seeing the door knobs, the cake stand and the necklace. Afraid I'm lazy and don't use napkin rings..is that terrible?
I'm going to pick your brain about where you find all these gorgeous treasures. You are so generous to organise this giveaway and please put me in the hat.
I've got a leave pass today from the house to run errands and visit Mum. Just as well, my old body is ready to fall in a crying heap.
xxx
Hi A-M
I am a SERIOUS lurker on your blog. I think I may have left you one comment in the last 12 months, but I visit you daily.
I've just started running again too after chemo took all of my fitness and strength. I have found strength from somewhere but still waiting on the fitness!!
Good health to you!
xoxo Karen
Dear A-M, I love them all, but I think it would be pretty expensive to ship the metal cake stand to US!
So, I will take the necklace, which is the one that weight less.(In case I am one of the winners!)
You are so kind sharing these pretty things with your readers. God bless you, dear!
Morning A-M,
You have a generous soul...
I stopped in my tracks when I saw that crystal necklace as it reminded me so much of my grandmother.I have so many memories of her wearing a very similar thing. Thank you for a chance at such a lovely giveaway. x
A-M your selflessness is so inspiring! But then again i continue to be inspired by you in so many different ways! You have inspired my own blog started last year, you will inspire our new house starting contruction soon, and you inspire me everyday when i read about your strength, genorosity and love! I am too living out of boxes whilst i wait patiently *ok i lie* not so patiently for our house to be built. I have not unpacked many of my pretties so would love to be included in your giveaway of pretties! I also particularly LOVE your idea of the perfumes on the cake stand!
A-M, I am Fio in the USA, I read you every day, I used to love love your old house, then I was a little lost there for a while wondering what was happening, and finally with the floods and the boys and the lizards I am back reading you everyday. What a beautiful blog! I love the necklace too, crystals are one of my favorite things. Hugs!
Fio
Oh A-M
everything is gorgeous..I would love to enter the draw, thank you.
You are a beautiful soul A-M and I love reading your blog each morning...
Have a wonderful day
athena x
Hello! I have been a long time follower of your blog, although I've never posted a comment (eek!).
All those goodies are devine! Especially the cake stand ;)
I just thought I'd come out of the woodwork and say that I think that you have a gorgeous family and have shown such strength and compassion in the recent times of need! I wished I could've given to Ken and James, but they were in my thoughts everyday, as was everyone affected.
Sending you and your family best wishes! :)
Gorgeous! Count me in!! They're all seriously lovely.
Lesley
Beautiful items
You're too kind, A-M. I loved going through my storage shed (except for when it flooded), and finding treasures I hadn't seen for ages. The cake stand is stunning!!
Hi, I have followed your blog "silently" sorry I'm not much of a commentator, but have felt the pain that you and your boys have been going through for what seems like forever, sending you hugs and love and laughter! I have avidly followed the terrible climatic destruction that has been going on in your beautiful country, no words can describe it, but what a strong nation you are, resilient doesn't even begin to describe you all! As a Brit (who has been "roaming since my daughter was a baby, she is now 15) I can feel the strength that you Aussies show, keep your pecker up, keep calm and carry on sound familiar???
Finally, I love cake stand and it would look wonderful in my kitchen here in Tokyo, fingers crossed.
Hugs and kisses
Angela
HI A-M.
I feel like a bit of a chancer leaving a comment in the hope of getting a little something, something - those knobs are fabulous! I am a long time lurker and I left my one and only bloggy comment when you first had your tough time - so thought I may as well leave another on a much more positive note!
I love keeping up with your journey - it's great to see you on the up and up, warms the cockles it does!
Oh A-M, what a lovely generous person you are ( and I'm not "crawling" just to win a goody). Whenever I read your blog I'm inspired to help others more, just as you do. After all you've been through, you still care so much about people like Ken and James, making their lives a bit easier.
I wish we could all give YOU gifts to make you "all better" again, but I can tell you're getting there bit by bit,and I hope you find a lovely place to live when you have to move out.xx
Great give away A-M and very generous of you. I love it all but am partial to the cake stand... I do love those knobs too... hmmmm... Glad the running is giving you so much energy. Thanks and please count me in. ;-)
Hi A-M, I have been a faithful 'lurker' of your blog ever since your Home Beautiful spread, and many other blogs since then also. Whenever I see a giveaway on them I wanted to enter but as I was never an official Follower I never felt I should. But as I am now 'officially' following your blog I would love to be in the running for any of your beautiful items, although my favourite would have to be the cake stand.
Love reading your posts every day.
Pauline
Hi A-M.
Well this is my 3rd attempt at trying to work out this blogging thing. Hopefully it works this time. As you can see I am a 1st time blogger but I have followed your journey since reading the mag last year. I was so inspired that my hubby and I have embarked on our own build. It has been fun, exciting, frustrating and nail biting all at the same time. My biggest challenge is to try not to blow out the budget. Ha ha. LOL. I am constantly being told to reign it in. I would really love to be in the drawer for those gorgeous kitchen knobs as they would look really good in my soon to be built kitchen. Keep on writing and we will keep on reading. It's good for the soul. Love Aileen - Brisbane. PS if this comment appears 4 times then just delete the other 3 as I still haven't worked out how to do this blogging thing.
You are so very generous and thoughtful A-M. It made me smile to see your plastic tubs full of "things" - I have this sight in front of me too as we pack our belongings to move next week (our landlord advised last week he is selling!)
All of those treasures are gorgeous - if I have to choose a favourite, it would be the cake stand - just so classic.
Hope "good days" continue to bless you and the boys.
Christine xo
AM, you constantly astound me with your generosity. I would love to win any one of your gorgeous prizes, as i'm sure would most of your readers. By the way, you say your heart is breaking and that you wish you could give us all something. You already are, you provide inspiration, motivation and a touch of reality for us all.
I have to confess that I too am a daily stalker of your blog (accompanied by coffee and the words "Mummy is busy kids!") and it has taken me a while to get around to commenting- mainly because I am technologically challenged! I am very partial to the knobs and cake stand - they would suit my new lights perfectly and I am very excited about their impending arrival!! you are way too generous.. Kerry x
So many things to choose from A-M! Count me in. I'd love the crystal beads or the Profiterole stand (and I make profiteroles for the boys' birthdays every year). Thanks! xx
A-M Love the french cake stand, great giveaway! especially the necklaces, but I might be bias as the designer is CREATIVELY ACTIVE MINDS who just happens to be my brother. Have a wonderfully inspiring week, sending best wishes to you and your lovely boys xx
Those are so beautiful. I can't believe that in midst of all your turmoil you are thinking of giving back to others. Truly sweet!
I'd love to win. Thanks; and God bless.
I'm a daily lurker. I think I may have commented here and there, but not enough. My New Years resolution is to comment more on blogs, actually.
I'm a big admirer of your style. And a big fan of your lovely boys too. I'm keeping them in mind for future husband potential for my girls (aged 5 and 7);)
I love all the goodies, but realistically the starfish napkin rings would fit best in my house by the water.
Hi A-M - I too am a long time follower but this is my first time saying hi *waves*. I'm trying to build a house in Sydney, and have 3 children (8yo son, and 4yo girl/boy twins).
I really enjoy reading your posts daily - your posts are a joy, even in hard, difficult times. Keep blogging away, I think your readers get as much from it as you do :)
Love your style, and love the cake stand and necklace.

You are the kindest, all of your goodies are beautiful, my faves are the cake stand and the necklace:0) have fun!
Thanks AM, I just love those ceramic knobs...so wonderful!
Wishing your family some time of stability and peace...

Hey AM - My name is Miss and I have a blog which was originally called Miss Vintages House of Pain (I am under the impression that building any house was a painful business)however after a number of ... slightly less building related comments I changed it to Miss Vintages Ivory Tower. I am totally in love with the cake stand. Its such a great idea for the bathroom ... even with those lovely wrapped soaps from Mor!
Cake stand as perfume holder...could it be any more glamorous than that? You are back, A-M, you are truly back! Sooo happy to see it. And as a beader, I must say those necklaces are gorgeous!
What a beautiful person you are...to think of us after all that you and your boys have been through. You are so thoughtful. I am the little person from Chicago that has been lurking, stalking, praying and sometimes commenting throughout your ordeals. I so admire your strength through all of this.
Good luck to the happy winner!
XO,
Jane
The knobs, without a doubt. My daughters room has these bright gold knobs on the cupboard doors ... ick! Reused the cupboards during the reno & want to replace gold hinges & knobs but just not in the budget. But these knobs could be the perfect replacement, plus she has a Parisian streetscape as a doona cover ... ooh lala! Very generous of you A-M thinking about giveaways when you've got a lot on your plate. Rental woes sorted yet?
I LOVE reading your blog -everyday in fact!! I fell in love with your house - like we all did and I have sympathised with you as you have gone through a dark , rough place in your life (gosh, I think there has been quite a few readers who have shed a tear or 2 with you!!)Now, we all smile with you as you seem to have come out the other end with hope, faith and humour still intact. You are truly an inspiration to all, you have picked yourself up, dusted yourself off not once, but twice (floods)and done so with such dignity. Keep climbing that hill we call "life" and take care of those beautiful boys - prized posessions indeed!! Oops nearly forgot, I love all your giveaways but I especailly love the cake stand - so me!! Take care A-M -Marita :)
Greetings A-M. Please enter me in your giveaway. Love the beads. And the napkin rings. And the cake stand. And you and your boys most of all. xx
crystal necklace - all the way to the bank, I'd wear them as long as my natives (kids) allowed me!!! What a great idea tho, I think I might do a few giveaways of the superfluous stock in my "shed" as you call it! (yes, I too have a blue doored storage unit!!) must be an Aussie thing!
I have been reading your blog for awhile now, like many others I was absolutely blown away by how gorgeous your house was. I am so sorry that you have been so sad recently but even through that sadness you have been thinking of others and your generosity to those affected by the floods has been so inspiring...so has your getting back into running. My IT department (teenage kids!) helped me load the C25K app onto my phone last night and I am on my way. Thank you for all that you give to others, even when your own life is going through a rough patch.

Hi A-M, I am a long time reader but have never commented before. I love your blog. I love the cake stand...
Love your shed, love the crystal beads, love you. xx
Hi A-M,
I have been a follower for sometime now, I just don't always get to comment, I really love your blog it's my first stop every day. It's really great to see how you've picked yourself up from everything that's been going on, and even now when you have these developers on your back you are thinking of others, you are very special. I wish our shed was full of loveliness such as yours, ours is testosterone city, I rarely venture down there. The cake stand is beautiful, I hadn't thought of using them to display perfume bottles on, must go and check this out now. I must say that I'm feeling inspired to start an exercise program again now after reading about yours, haven't done anything in that area for a bit too long I think. Enjoy your day, Cheers robyn
Dear A-M, I have been a 'silent' follower for some time now and am amazed at how much you give back to us all in blog land, even during your hard times. You are an inspirational and strong women. I have 2 young boys aswell so know what its like to cherish every moment with them which I think you do perfectly. Here's to a much smoother 2011 for you, your boys and us all in Brissie. Suzanne x BTW - that cake stand is amazing!
Hi AM. Thank you for such an inspiring blog. It's not just your creativity and design that makes your blog so enjoyable, it's also your positive outlook on life especially in the face of such trauma and your generous heart. The cake stand is lovely but I already have 2 (of which I am now going to use one with your suggestion). The silver napkin rings are just gorgeous! Keep it at.
Long time lurker, first time commenter, those Paris knobs called to me, I had to post, they made me do it. I have the perfecdt home for them. In my kitchen currently sits a rather orange pine dresser that my father made when I was a child, it is destined for a coat of lovely white paint and those knobs would be the perfect finishing touch. They would make the piece sing. And seeing them every day while making breakfast for my 4 boys would make my heart sing.
Hi A-M, I love reading your blog because it's written from the heart and also because we live in the same great city. I think the ceramic knobs are especially sweet. Have a great day. X
A-M, it is so wonderful to her that cheerful note back in your "voice". You have been missed.
If your giveaway includes those of us from the States, those Parisian knobs would look wonderful on my closet doors....
Hi A-M what a lovely giveaway. I am very fond of the profiterole stand. I still am amazed that you can run in the Brisbane humidity. deb
Hi A-M, like many I am a long time lurker. A yr or two ago I was looking for inspiration for our Qlder renovation. Yours was the first blog I discovered and I have visited you every morning since.I have cried for you...and cheered for you, even running to my husband with the news ,"She's back, the floods have bought her back!" Suffice to say he doesn't get it ;) Your giveaways are just beautiful (love all, but the cake stand and ceramic knobs would be my favourite) This is only my second time commenting on any blog, the 1st was a plant ID for Brismod that I couldn't resist! Despite not having a blog it's a community that brings me much joy and inspiration in our renovation journey. ♥ Andrea
Hi AM
Your generosity is amazing. I have been truly touched reading about all you've done to help others during this difficult time.
I've commented before, but don't think I've told you much about me - I'm married with 3 kids - aged 2, 4 & 6 and they keep me busy! I've just resigned from my job where I've worked for 14 years so I can spend some more time with my family. And I've just signed up to do some volunteer work so I can 'give back'!
Thanks for the opportunity to have a 'win' - I do love the cake stand, but for the sake of cheaper postage (I'm in Perth), the necklace would be gorgeous!
Take care, and it's great to see back on a daily basis!
Vx
Hi A-M, I am making-over my home and your blog has given me much inspiration over the past months. Thanks for allowing us the chance to partake in your generous giveaway... the french knobs would look ab-fab on the chiffonier in my kitchen! Hope you found something for yourself amongst the "stuff in your shed", too.
All the best,
Melanie -- Modern Country Makeover --
What a beautiful gesture after all you have had to cope with....would adore to win the ceramic knobs or the cake stand as I recently broke my glass cake stand and glass dome in my enthusiastic washing up!
Thankyou A-M! You have exquisite taste and a generous spirit. Have enjoyed your blog since the HB article. I love the crystal bead, I would never need another necklace! They would go with absolutely everything. Rebecca xo
Hi AM,
I'm on a bit of a blog hop this morning and just wanted to stop and say HI. I've been reading your blog for a few years and stop by from time to time. Were on the north side of brissy and weren't effected, I hope your doing ok and your area is starting to re build. All the best.

Hi A-M
I read you blod everyday...I feel like I know you! I cant even remember how I stumbled across your blog (I think I may have seen it recommended on someone else's), but I'm glad I found you! Love your style, love your attitude and admire your courage and strength....Keep it coming, its all inspiring.

How beautiful you are - thinking of us all when you already have so much on your plate. Speaking of plates, that cake plate is divine...but postage to Canada would be much too much...so no need to include me in your giveaway. Reading about your brave spirit is winning enough for me.
Am I am just astounded, such beautiful items for your giveaway.
I adore the French Cakestand, the necklace is also just a fabulous creation!

HI A-M. You've already been super generous to me in the past with your gorgeous things so I'm going to take a pass on this. I still want to comment though and just say how much it does my heart good to see you back here on the regular. The running and the writing will help you find you again. I'm with you every step of the way too.....
XO,
A.
Hi AM, well I started reading your blog after the HB article. And since then I've seen it turn into something quite different. A little more inspirational than aspirational! I'm so happy you're sounding better these days.
PS. Having bought a 'renovators delight' I'm sure I can find somewhere for those lovely doorknobs.
Oh A-M, the cake stand would be just the thing to get me motivated again.
When my kids were small, we were always celebrating something - birthdays, communions, etc.etc..So I was always baking tortes (couldn't afford to buy them back then - too poor.lol).
Since my kidlets are no longer kidlets, I have put fancy baking in the background.
The cake stand would be wonderful!
THanks again A-M for your generosity - you're 1 in a million!!!!!!!!!!
Oh A-M you truly are one of the most generous people that I know. Not that I really "know" you but feel that I do by your blog posts, of which I read every day.
When I was about 13 years old my Nan gave me a beautiful old crystal necklace. At the time I didn't realise the significance of the necklace or the beauty of it. In my adolescent years I decided to chop the necklace up to make these dangly earrings. In the years that followed, the beautiful pieces of crystal were discarded. I never realised that they were crystal, but figured they were costume jewellery.
I would dearly love to be the recipient of one of the necklaces, as it would remind me of my Nan every time I wore it with pride. :)
You are a legend A-M. No more to be said! And that mud you speak of has set you back on the road to blogville, so it can't be all bad. Of course, I'm a long-time devotee, and would love an entry to your fabulous giveaway. Glad you're back and sounding like your old self again :) K xx
three necklaces? what else have you got hidden away in that shed of yours? i'm still looking for my lost youth - it might be in there! but they are seriously good looking necklaces.
jo x
Hi A-M...I found your blog via the Home Beautiful edition that featured your amazing house and have been following you ever since (in a bloggy land sort of way, certainly not in a weird stalker-ish sort of way.)
Anyho, I just wanted to say 'hi' and thank you for the opportunity to be a part of the fab giveaway x
*shyly half sticks up her hand to confess to being a long time lurker* You have already given so much with your wonderful blog and inspirational story, but if I have to choose - I love the cake stand!!
It's good to have you back.
I love the cake stand ... count me in.
What a teasure trove of a shed. I'm sure you will love it the day you get to take everything out of storage and put it back into your house!
Love the beutiful cake stand and the gorgeous necklace!
thanks
Chris
Hi A-M! Once again, it makes me smile to hear the A-M whose blog I started reading *ages* ago coming back through the posts. You go girl. (And I love those beads!)
Px
Took your lead and downloaded the app of C25K, as I seriously needed some inspiration to start exercising again. However I will start with power walking where the jogging is for now and that will be a huge thing for me. Well done to you! You sound as though you are really getting yourself fit and healthy and positively charged!
Yes I would love to have a shed with little surprises in it like yours..how incredible. Sounds as though everyone adores your silver cake stand...myself included.
Keep up the great work. xx
Hi A-M, I looked at that running thingy on my iTouch and got a bit scared. Maybe I'm just not ready for it yet?
What a beautiful giveaway. I love those door knobs and would love to whip up a batch of profiteroles for the first time :)
Please count me in!
I have been following your blog for some time, and have been wanting to post a comment for ages, and I really don't know why I haven't. I read your blog every morning once I have fixed breakfast for my girls and a coffee for me! You have been in my thoughts daily since you had to take some time away from blog land. I am so glad you are back but so terribly sorry life has thrown you some very big challenges. Your positivity, generosity and amazing outlook on life is fantastic and are qualities you should be very proud of. Your boys are gorgeous, and see myself looking at my girls the same way you do your boys, especially when they head off to school (not for a while they are 3 and 10 months). Thank you for coming back AM, it is amazing how you feel like you know someone only through blog land. I truely wish you all the love and happiness this year and all the years ahead. Keep up the amazing work! Joc xx
Dear AM I have been reading your blog for a while and have shared the tears, triumphs the ooh's and the ahh's. I think you are a great Aussie girl. Wish I could meet you in person and pat you on the back for being who you are.
I feel greedy stating that I would love your beautiful french cake stand but it has taken my eye so if it is to be then great, if not then thanks all the same.
Generosity like yours gives cause for all of us to smile. :)
how sweet and generous you are. Just "seeing" you back on your blog is enough of a gift.(sorry don't want to sound corny!!)
And I wish I had a shed full of lovely surprises instead of redbacks and I think a dead mouse (well something's died in it!!)
wow youre amazing!
Im in and I love those little knobblets but all items are divine! Im so glad you ahve found solace and strength in running it truly is a power giving activity.
Oh, Honey! I love the positively fairly radiating from you. That makes me so happy. I had been waiting for the big reveal of the shed as you were concerned at one stage that it might go under. I'm so relieved your belongings are intact. And thanks for your trademark generosity, notwithstanding your personal troubles. The profiterole stand would be heavenly. You have a huge heart, A-M. J x
Hi A-M,
I've been a lurker for a while, but started checking in on you after the floods every day.
Your a star, hope it's a better year for you and your boys, hon
xxK
Hi A-M
You are sounding more and more like ypurself (your new self?) these days.
I would love the profiteroles cake stand. Just the thing to lift my spirits as I trundle around trying to sort out where to work after a lovely long year of maternity leave.
Rebecca D
Hi AM. Have been a follower of your blog for a few months now and have even been inspired to start my own - http://creamcottage.blogspot.com/ I love the cake stand and the knobs - so different and gorgeous! So generous of you to be having a give away given all you've been through. Look forward to reading more about your daily adventures. Ange xoxo
I like the idea of the running (your last post) ... all that serotonin flooding in. I don't have an iPhone but these apps fascinate me, only in my case I'd need the total beginner's 'Get off your backside *now* Mrs' app. ;)
You're very kind to rummage things out from your 'shed'. I think we're all just glad to hear that you made it through the floods unscathed and that life is looking up for you. Hmm..If you're offering to share these beauties however, I'd be a fool not to enter. I love the cake stand (hadn't thought of the ingenious alternative use) and I love the necklace. Ask anyone - I'm a total magpie when it comes to the pretty and the sparkly.
Hi AM, Am a regular follower, only a rare commentator! Love your beautiful cake-stand and the beads. So generous of you to be holding a giveaway! Am so glad to hear that your blog gives you so much pleasure as it does to your followers!
Take care,
XKL
A-M, you are truly inspirational! You inspired me greatly during our extension & renovation last year (living in it with 2 toddlers nearly drove me crazy!), but your triumph over adversity in the last few months has been amazing. We are finally in our 'new' house & loving it (3 days before Christmas). The plumber is about to connect our ensuite, so that cake stand would look amazing in there, the beads are also gorgeous. Bless your generous heart. xo
Hi A-M, love your blog and cape cod designs ( thank you I cannot wait to meet my lights!) I am glad you are slowly rising up again- it's great to see. If I have to choose a favorite I would say the beads, but all your pretties are, well, pretty!
You remind me that I need to make a trip to my own shed and share some stuff. Lovely items!!!
Hello from Perth!
A-M, I discovered you via Home Beautiful and fell in love with your home - I still have that addition too :)
You and your blog is a breath of fresh air and I love it.
Your storage facility is like christmas and the French Cake stand is beautiful - clever lady to use it to display perfume and other lovely things.
V x
Hey A-M! Occasional commenter, more frequent lurker here :)
That's quite a job you set yourself there! Like you said, thank goodness for Nespresso! I can't believe you have such beautiful things in storage, but any of those items would find a welcome home here!
Hello AM!
Greetings from Michigan! You are a daily read for me on my Google Reader. My heart broke when you fell out of contact. You are such an inspiration to all of us! Hardships put everything into perspective don't they? What matters most to us. And you have shown yourself to be such a strong kick butt woman, way to go at running again. It will be so good for your mind and body! Glad you are back among us! Keep at it.
PS I would love that necklace, so lovely!
Hi, I have just found your blog while surfing. I haven't caught up on all of your news but am inspired by the wonderful post flood work you have done to help out two men.
I adore the cake stand, and the buttons.
I look forward to catching up on all your news.
Hi - I'm Nancy, nice to meet you and your blog. I'm lovin those knobs & that cake stand. Looks like it would make a nice candle display stand on the dining table when a cake isn't actually sitting on it. To pretty to hide in a cupboard.
A-m,
Have been reading your blog since before the flood and wanted to thank you for continuing to show photos and give news on the situation even after many went back to posting "pretties". It showed real people and real life. Your a love for your amazing compassion and for following your heart to action. I am sure there are good things in store for you.
I also have two boys, now in university and seeing yours makes me miss them so much. Must action some type of valentine baking to send off to them! Thanks for your inspiraton.
K

Hi A-M, I am a bit of a lurker. Discovered your blog just as you finished your beautiful house and ripped all the pages out of your Home Beautiful edition for my Inspirations folder for my new house we are about to build. We have an acre so lots of space to play with. I do not have a designer bone in my body so rely on your blog and the likes to help me finish my house so thank you A-M! I also have 2 boys, still babies, but I love seeing pics and hearing stories of your boys beautiful relationship, I hope my boys grow up so close and loving. x
Hi AM I have been a religious reader for about six months, the first thing i do when i get to work is fire up the lappy make a coffee and check in on you and your beautiful boys. The cake stand is absolutely lovely - and I love the idea of it holding peerfume!!

Romana
Hello A-M, I have just stumbled onto your blog for the first time today....
I am about to embark on the wonderful journey that is building my dream family home, that my husband and I will raise our family in. I'm so excited and have been scouring the net for inspiration. I absolutely love Hamptons style, after seeing "Something's Gotta Give" a few years ago.
Your blog is fantastic (so great to see so much honesty, really makes the reader feel they are talking to an old friend) and your home is just amazing.
Anyway, I feel like a bit of an imposter as most of these comments are from loyal followers, but I can't pass up the opportunity to possibly win something for my new home. All the items are beautiful, my favourite is the profiterole stand.
I can see myself spending way too much time here!
Emma
Dear A-M,
Once again you are being incredibly generous. I am so glad you are posting on your blog again - I and all of your readers have missed you. As a Brisbane girl I have greatly appreciated your recent photos of West End (haven't done too much sighseeing as it is all too devastating) - thank you though for bringing back some niceness into our lives.
oh yes! i do like the look of the beads! i discovered your blog a couple of years ago and have been following you now and then. i discovered 'masterfoods mild chicken curry' while reading your blog and now it is a weekly fav in our kitchen! i am 'on the other side' - in kenmore. thanks for your words.
oooh...I love those knobs and the perfume stand (well, the re-use of the cake stand)..... soul searching books are interesting, glad to hear that has helped you, maybe I need to invest in that one. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the book depository too and am a regular customer.
I love a good giveaway - count me in chickie. Hey I love your cake stand, it's better than mine :( Hahaha!!! Hope you are good today. Chat soon xoxox
So good to see you coming back to your energetic self. I love both the crystal necklace and the silver cake stand, so would be delighted to win either. Thank you for this generous opportunity.
I'm a big fan of your blog. One of my favorites. I feel glued to it like my favorite reality TV shows :)
I guess misery loves company. I went through the roughest patch in my life the end of last year (marriage related) and there's something about commiserating with someone else's pain that's therapeutic. Thanks for your raw honesty. I pray you're blessed beyond measure for all the help you've been for other people.
I love the knobs or the cakestand ;)
Hiya AM. I do hope you will be reconciled with all your precious things in a space you can call your own very soon.. and not a Shed. If your heart skips a beat over jewellery you must get back into it (and those lovely bags you once sold... hint!). Cake stands and knobs are delightful inventions though, are they not? I have just the spot for either. Deb :o)
Oh AM that silver, french cake stand is GORGEOUS!!!
You are so consistently generous dear girl.
xx
H
that cake stand just stopped my heart. then the beads jump started it again!!!
Love your blog, so glad you came back to us, sounds like your soul is starting to heal, hope your journey continues onwards and upwards.
x
Hi A-M,
I've been following your blog for a while and you are truly an inspiration. I am so glad that things are looking up for you. There. I only wanted to say that, whether I win anything or not.
All the best
Maja xx
Wow! Gorgeous giveaway, I love them all.(slightly partial to the knobs - my bedroom makeover will be french) Great to be reading your blog again and wish you and the boys the very best. You ARE truly inspiring**. Keep up the positive and wonderful attitude. Gotta love that Nespresso machine!
Take Care
Rebecca x
I have been visiting your blog for quite awhile and now follow with google reader for updates. Out of the hudreds of crafty blogs I subscribe to you are the only one I have ever called my hubby to come and see! The courage you have shown recently will be used to motivate me as I'm getting organized to pack up and move our family to a new city for a fresh start.
I love the necklace, it reminds me of one my Great Grandmother wore :-)
Lordy Lordy... what a fabulous giveaway! I'll take one of everything please.... the starfish really caught my eye and I haven't bought any new napkin rings in years... Would cherish them.
Di
Swooooooooooooon. What I would do for a silver cake plate. The treasures I would display. The cakes I would bake. Even the most disastrous baking creation would look special sitting atop that plate. Pure bliss.
Hi I have just come across your blog and am enjoying the reading...What a great giveaway, love the beads and stand...So nice to come accross a local blog...
Mandy
So glad that you're 'GETTING ON WITH LIFE'..What keeps us going are the faces of our children..So happy you're resettling..By the way ,those drawers knobs are fabulous..Keeping my fingers and toes crossed..xx
Love your blog; love the necklaces!
Hi!
I have posted a few comments over the time of reading your lovely blog, so I spose it is time to 'introduce' myself....I'm Sharon, a born & bred Brissy girl who moved up Bundaberg way as a 19 yr old girl in love...and still here 21 yrs later...lol
Glad to see you back blogging again!
As for the giveaway, I am torn between the starfish and the beads ;)
Cheers,
Sharon :)
HI A-M, THEY ARE ALL FANTASTIC I WOULD LIKE ANYONE OF THEM. IT WOULD BE JUST NICE TO WIN SOMETHING SO BEAUTIFUL. HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND. SIMONE.
This looked so funny, like you were going to say "giveaway of a random unmarked box from my storage shed" & we could get a tea chest surprise of boy's toys, old Tshirts & water bottles, tee hee.
I love the profiteroles pedestal, my husband LOVES profiteroles the way my mummy made them but she can't anymore due to Alzheimer's so i have to learn. As my children say "it's only chux pastry mum, come on".
So hello Anne-Maree, i'm Jennie, mother of 4 living in Canberra dreaming of farm life, with a husband living in Brisbane heading back to war shortly, it's a mixed up 3 years we're experiencing but HUGE reward at the end - a farm, together, should move in by the time we have 3 high schoolers. Deep breaths, love Posie
Love the perfume on the cake platter idea! Might have to ry that one myself!
It's terrific to hear the bright sparkle shining in your voice again A-M and this giveaway is yet another indication of your big heart.
I hope that the weekend is a wonderful one spent with your treasured boys.
Felicity x
Hi A-M, I've been reading your blog for about a year now and I don't think I've ever commented on a post!
As a fellow Brisbane south-sider I was immersed in your posts during and after the floods. It sounds like you have had it very rough but it's also good to hear that you have lots of loving and supportive people around you.
Thanks for offering a giveaway..... I'm smitten with the crystal necklace and would just love to win it.
XOXO
Trish
Dear A-M, I too am a long time reader, first time commentor. I found you through Faux Fuschia but remember loving your house in Home Beautiful last year.
I particularly love the honesty you put into your blog - the highs and lows of life can be ecstatic and very painful, but you have a way of bringing them to life that has moved me to tears on occasion. I would love to give you a big hug some days! The love your show for your boys is wonderful and their kindness and gentle natures are the biggest reward you could have for your devotion. (and your 'little tacker' is the most adorable ever!)
Judging by all the 'i love' comments about the delicious gifts you are offering, maybe our Brisbane needs an A-M accessories shop! I would love to own a cake stand like yours. I can see the perfect place for it in my house!
As the Irish say -
May the road rise up to meet you.
May the wind always be at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
and rains fall soft upon your fields.
And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the palm of His hand.
Dear A-M
You were my very first follower and now I am entering my very first giveaway - YOURS! How lucky am I!
I love every one of your very special treasures but I am definitely a crystal necklace type of girl. I would think "ALL my Christmas' had come at once!" if I was lucky enough to have my name plucked out of the barrel by your two handsome barrel boys. {{hugs}} Sharyne xxoo
Hi A-M, couldn't resist an entry into your giveaway:) Love the napkin rings, and the necklace - gorgeous!
So nice to read your recent posts and see that you are in a much happier place now!! xox
Hi A-M
I have read you blog for a very long time. I have managed to work out how to log into google at last and am now leaving my first comment since I forgot my password about 2 years ago! Have made sure I wrote the password down somewhere this time! I am so glad you are back blogging. I am a Brisbane mum ( I emailed you the other day about kids stuff for the flood victims). Have a great weekend.
Kathy
PS I would love to be entered for that gorgeous necklace - could always do with some glamour in my life:) Seem to spend my life driving children from one place to the other.
I just found your blog from "For the Love of a House" and I love it! Having a very good friend who lives in Australia, I was thrilled to see that you're from there. I don't know if I qualify for a give away since I don't have a blog, but my favorite thing is the starfish napkin rings! We live in the mountains and our favorite place to vacation is at the beach!
Hi! This is my first visit! I came via Tina'a blog. I am not far away (the Gold Coast) and I am looking forward to putting the children to bed tonight and having a proper look back through your posts! It is so sweet of you to do a give away and they are all gorgeous items! I really love the clock knobs and the cake stand... I have just put a load of stuff in strorage and I am thinking that when I get it out I may have to do some give aways too! Have a lovely weekend! X
Oh my, those handles are SOOOO lovely!! As you know A-M, I've long been a follower of your delightful blog and always look forward to your posts appearing x
Love your blog A-M. Have been a follower, commentor??? and lurker for some time and would love to be included in your gorgeous giveaway...so glad to see the old/new A-M has returned... big hugs Kym XOX Oh, loving those handles!
Love the knobs and cake stand! Long time reader here and I think you are doing great.....you have been through so much.....so it can only get better from here right???
Great to hear you have found something that helps you get over your grief and understand that you can recover from one person having such a devastating effect on your life and those of your children. Life does go on after the other person moves on and you find that you can too even if more wisely. Surely a good thing. Love the crystal beads and what a good thing you are doing! All the best, Lyn (just joined email list even though been a long time reader.)
Hi A-M ... I have been a follower without comment for absolutely ages, and initially followed as I loved your interiors style (those Paris clock knobs look fabulous!). However I have been more than impressed lately with the way you have been slowly reclaiming your life and your attitude through it all. So keep it up A-M, you have inspired me to search out my own 'lifetrap'.
Ooh A M your so kind to do that with soo many gorgeous items I so love Villa Mason items enjoy your giveaway & reading every ones comments The clock handles are sooo cute :)
A-M, what a lovely giveaway! Profiteroles are my favorite dessert! Thanks for the chance to win. And we're here, rain or shine, happy or sad, clean or muddy!
Kat :)
Hi AM great to see you back and hopefully moving forward in life i love the necklace and the cake stand leexx
Hi A-M,
I am a long time Sunshine Coast reader and a sometime comment 'leaverer'. Absolutely love, love, love, love the Paris drawer knobs (I am a Francophile but have never seen these before!!) GORGEOUS :O)
Sarah
Love the crystal necklace! (Love it all, really.) Congratulations on picking up running again...I need to follow suit. If you haven't read the following book, you should pick it up...it's a wonderful and interesting read, and it inspires me to run more: Born to Run, by Christopher McDougall.
I've lurked, I read - regularly, and even comment occasionally. But today I am commenting because I want to tell you what a beautiful person you are!! Not because I want to win. So I am not going to share what I like (though it is all so lovely - you have exquisite taste). In fact if you draw my number - please draw again and bless someone else. Hugs hon! Sharyn from LaVienchic.blogspot
My goodness that is so sweet and so selfless and so amazing of you. I'm not sure if you really want to ship to Canada from Australia, but if you do then count me in. I do love the little silver stand, but suspect that would cost an arm and a leg to ship, so my second choice would be one of the necklaces.
You already know me somewhat through my blog. Everyone says my blog is a good representation of me (hope that makes sense), but I suspect you would know me from having read my blog almost from the start. I feel sure we will meet one day.
My comment vanished before it posted...I think! Anyhoo, was just saying how gorgeous the perfume on the cake stand idea sounds! Might need to go play with some vignette ideas! Loving your blog, loving you xx
Hi! My laptop tells me I added you to my favorites on Sept. 4, 2008! Although I've been off and on with my visiting, I really enjoy your blog.
Your generous giveaway items are all beautiful. I especially love the crystal necklace! Fingers crossed!
Oh what beautiful giveaway gifts.
I love the necklace and the sweet cake stand
Have a wonderful week
Alison
Hello
Look at you. You have been going through some yucky things in your life, but here you are, giving multiple gifts away. Your a wonderful woman, such an inspiration, and so many of us dont even know your personally.
But, getting down to giveaways.... The cake stand is just divine.
My dream house is almost on the horizon and that little stand would be a wonderful addition :)
Thank you.
Kevina

Hi A-M. May I say you are such an inspiration. For many reasons. Your heart shines through each and every post and it make me (and I'm sure many many others) keep coming back for more. I check in each day and have ever since I saw your beautiful home featured in Home Beautiful. All the best A-M.
The gorgeous French Cake Stand will definately be admired in my home. fingers crossed
Bianca
I missed your daily blog updates. So glad to hear your back on track. You were missed!! P.s I love the cake stand.
I'm happy to hear some joy in your voice again.
I honestly thought 'I have too much stuff already' but I do adore those crystal necklaces. They would make many outfits look special.
Oh, what have I missed! I was sick, can I still put my comment in? I am a follower, no lurker, although I am a peeper first class when it comes to houses....
Love everything so what I win is up to you! If I win I mean...
Glad to read you are doing better, each day brings a challenge I think, but I love what you wrote, this blog feeds the soul, and that is what blogging is good for, positive energy! Maureen x
Lovely things, each one. Thanks for the giveaway.
Take care
Hi A-M I posted an entry for this earlier and it doesnt seem to be here. I'd love a chance to win the cake stand or necklace or anything really its all gorgeous!! Hope you, the boys and the lizards are all doing well!!
JUst stumbled onto your blog and already I'm drooling! LOVE the starfish. Love your blog.
I've also just stumbled upon your blog, so very happy to meet you...already completely jealous of that shed! I wish my shed held so treasures!
Nice to make your acquaintance :)
A-M , sounds like it was a big job to find these lovely treasures for your giveaway. It was a process of elimination as to which of these beauties would be lovely to win. I have narrowed it down to the french cake stand , ooh la la or the crystal necklace.
Im so glad to feel a lightness coming back to you , the boys must feel it too. Hope you have been able to sort out your rental woes.
Karyn x
That necklace is beautiful! And those knobs! Seriously!
I wanted to write and just say thank you for what you do. Your blogs has been a favourite of mine for such a long time - you sound like one amazing woman!
Hi A-M
I came across your blog through the 'Velvet and Linen' site last year and I am hooked. Love it. Because you give so much of yourself through your blog I feel it is only fair that I share something about me with you before I tell you which give away I like the look of. Okay....what to say....I got nothing. Oh! Last week, hubby and I were watching 'When Harry Met Sally' (it was clearly my turn to pick the movie) and it got to the part where Meg Ryan (love her) asks Billy Crystal whether he thinks she is high maintenance or low maintenance. He replies you're the worst kind; you're high maintenance but you think you are low maintenance. Well, hubby starts laughing and exclaims loudly "that's you, that is so you. You're high maintenance but you think you're low maintenance." So, although I'm not convinced he's right, that's a little glimpse into me. :-)
I love the necklace or the profiterole stand. Thank you.
Sharyn
Hello A-M!
Like many, I'm quite a stalker - I first stumbled across your blog mid-2010, and felt your loss when you had to disappear from the blog for a while (which led me to read the rest of your previous entries until 2009) and was really glad when you finally decided to come back :D
I've been looking for a silver cake stand for a really long time now, and that would be PERFECT for what I've in mind.
Even if I don't get the cake stand, it'd be great to know where you got it from! Thanks :)
Oh the ceremic knobs are just beautiful. I travelled around the world and the only thing I brought home was a clock from France. It no longer fits my colour scheme. but I just can't throw it away xx
Hi...big fan and long time lurker! I start my mornings with 2 weetbix and a side of A-M.
Thanks for the blog, it's has become a staple in my life.
Joydee
PS: the cake stand makes my heart do a little dance!!
A-M, hello! I'm Dayna from Louisiana and I enjoy your blog more than you know. In addition, I would love to also "steal" the idea of placing MY perfumes on that wonderful cake stand! Then again, everything could be put to fun use in my home. Fingers crossed...
A-M you have such a generous nature! That cake stand is magical.
Vicki-Lee
Hi A-M,I've just recently joined your blog but I must admit I have been secretly spying since your beautiful home got my attention in home beautiful mag. I was totally inspired by your amazing taste and flair for design. I'm a sucker for anything Hamptons style. So sorry to hear that you and your boys have not been well, I'm sending lots of positive energy through this post and hope you get well soon x
Hello! Adore your blog and am pouring over your magnificent house in Home Beautiful as I sit with my architect. xxxx
Hi A-M, I have followed your journey and am so inspired by you! We have just bought a house after renting for the last many years. I am taking great delight in finally turning a house into OUR home. I was sooo inspired by a photo of your home - you had gorgeous french drawers painted in a vibrant turqoise blue - I have painted a similar chest for my laundry room and just last night stayed up taping the wall and painting matching stripes. Thank you for the inspiration.
ps. those little knobs would look just perfect on the chest :) Best wishes on your continuing growth and happiness xxHeidi
