Time For A Kitchen

Does it get any better than this?
A masterpiece by Arden Stephenson.
Very "Somethings Gotta Give-ish". Love the little pops of green.
.. and I spy a view too. Perfection.
I'd wander over and stare at the view all day and never get anything done.

PS. That light above the topiaries could have been a pendant I reckon. Just sayin'.

  1. Goodmorning!
It's still Monday evening here in Switzerland, so I still feel I can say, hope you enjoyed your Valentines day with your boys! I put my little comment in for your give away at the post for it, even if I don't win, I loved to read that you are sounding better.
    All the best,
    Maureen x

  3. You are back posting about interiors and noticing pendant light opportunities, things they are a-changing! SO pleased, and you found some serious kitchen eye-candy there.

PS 6am soccer???? Is it because of heat? That is horribly early!xx

  4. 6 - 7.30am tuesdays for the school soccer team practice. school starts at 8.15am they're into 'before school practice' in a big way at that school... so many things to schedule. i have the guitar ensemble conductor requesting that my son finish soccer practice early on a tuesday morning and even just attend guitar ensemble for half an hour but it's all just too much. pity. son had to pull out of guitar ensemble this term as school soccer is only in the first 2 terms and it is his only sport. don't get me started on club soccer. that's this afternoon! soccer mad here! they adore it and run with smiles on their faces. A-M xx

  5. Love the kitchen, just not so keen on the pot racks...really not into putting my food on anything flies have been landing on.

I am relishing a little extra curricular peace at the moment. Fortunately soccer, or football as my children correct me, here not starting until March. Music starting this week and swimming and indoor soccer/football last week. The little man is squeezing in as many play dates as he can swing this week before the mahem begins!

  6. Love that kitchen and view and those pendants.... Oh wouldn't mind one of those. Don't you love being the taxi! I am off early this morning too as school camp bus leaves at 7am. ;-)

  7. Gorgeous kitchen. Love the tap at the stove for filling big pots. Totally agree re the pendant. I'd prefer not to have a pot rack too - looks a bit messy.
My two are enjoying cheerleading and hip hop classes a couple of afternoons a week. If they had a 6am start ummm find something else to do kids.

  12. Oh what a beautiful kitchen. We were talking kitchens on our walk this morning and wow,how fabulous it would be to have something like this - but for my home a smaller version.

  13. Would trade the pot rack for an extra sink.

  17. Shoulda been a pendant :)

That view is very Hamptons. Is that where we are? Probably a safe bet knowing your love of the place A-M. It reminds me of Martha's kitchen.

All those early starts for school must be hard work. Kids can so easily get over-booked can't they? Hour and a half is pretty hard- core for training too.

We are back into soccer this year too. My 4yr old is desperate to play. He ran around last year at training hoping they would notice his skills and call him up early.

    Have a great day x

  18. lovely large kitchen
    great view
take away hanging for me too - I'm into everything away.

I think there is enough on the benches for focal points so the hanging adds more clutter and room division.

I noticed there is heating vents on the kick boards in the kitchen - must get cold there.

have a great day and hope you got through the morning rush and school drop off - I know what it is like.

  21. I've been meaning to comment for some time as it's been a while, but I always seem to get distracted...

A-M, it's so wonderful to read the happiness returning to your posts. Like everyone, I was checking in on you daily to see that you were okay and I'm so glad (for you) that I'm back to checking in on you daily for your wit, humour and pretty things.

I'm an ex-Brisbanite, now in Darwin and I just love reading about what's going on down there.

  23. Lovely kitchen :) Love the white timber, I think I'd probably go a different colour benchtop, but still lovely.
Would need another sink, or at least somewhere to put the washed up bits & pieces.

  24. At the moment I'd just settle for a clean kitchen of any kind...ha. But that one is heaven. xx Katherine

  25. Totally agree about the pendant light A-M and the view!! Im not too sure about the candle looking thingo thats above the chair between the windows??!!! Looks a little too dark for such a light coloured wall. I like the taps but another sink would be on the cards for me!!

  26. Beautiful kitchen - straight to the inspiration folder.

  27. Just gorgeous!! Those windows draw your eyes out to the surrounds. Totally agree that pendants are needed too.

    Best wishes as always,
    Christine xo

  28. Classic and timeless. Is there a can ceiling light between stove and sink? Love the chairs at the table, we're "table" people so I park there most of the time and enjoy the view. Still winter here so we do indoor soccer on Sundays and basketball on Saturday. Indoor is so fast a game.

  29. I'm afraid I just couldn't cook in that kitchen. In fact I couldn't do any housework in that house. I'd be seated at the table with a cuppa, just gazing at that view all day long!

  30. How wonderful to see your heart ready to post a pretty kitchen (stunning is more lke it!). I've just read through your latest posts and can see the 'clouds' starting to clear just a bit...the sunshine is there and it will keep breaking through.

  32. Ah, yes, swooning in Hobart. Although I could do with a dash of colour - eggshell blue appeals today. Oh, and I totally agree about the need for a pendant light there. Well spotted, A-M! J x

  33. yes definitely a stare out the window no work achieved kitchen. The light is odd like that.

  34. Now that's a kitchen. Love it. Agree with you about the light fitting over the topiaries. It looks like a bug catcher rather than a light.

  35. This must be what heaven looks like!
    I want it!
