Paperwork Strategy

My strategy for tackling 'unsavoury paperwork', with the minimum amount of damage to the soul: find a peaceful local coffee shop, with free wi-fi, a big table, superior coffee, gorgeous piped classical piano music and pretty surrounds.

I powered through my work this morning, in such a beautiful environment, then had enough energy to climb through 'the shed', send off some parcels, housework my way to a sparkling house and pre-prepare an edible meal for dinner tonight. My boys are in zombie mode (it's Friday afternoon so they head to their computer games..... as all that 'fun' is totally banned during the school week!).

The house is so quiet..... I might even pour myself a champers.

Happy Friday my friends. Have a lovely weekend.

  2. Sounds like a fabulous start to the weekend! Thank you also A-M for the fabulous crystal beads. I collected them this morning (early!) from the "before hours" window of my little P.O. - promptly tore open your beautifully wrapped package - and wore them to work! Got rave reviews from everyone. Love them to bits. I think they will become my new signature piece. They sparkled all day (under the fluro lights in my office!) I'll send you some pictures. {{hugs}}Sharyne

  6. How lucky to have a wonderful space like that to go too.
I love Friday nights , except now you have made me feel like a bubbly & the fridge is bare.....
How long does it take to chill in the freezer ? Mmmm last time I did that , I kind of forgot & froze it ! I will set the oven timer as a reminder.

  12. Ah yes, releasing the boys onto the forbidden electronics available only from Friday night to Sunday afternoon (even then in small doses). I had no idea such bans were necessary until i had a son, girls (well my girls) have never been into that kind of stuff.
I wonder if i can rock up to my local cafe with all the school notes i endlessly fill in for 4 children spread over 2 schools - at least those notes are on a rainbow of A4 sheets. Anything to avoid my tax of course.
Enjoying your happy paper shuffling tips in public, love Posie

  17. I spent majority of Friday pulling weeds out of our over-run garden. I also did some tidying, washing and school run. I was achy and exhausted. Had a glass of wine and was in bed by 8.30pm! Phew! ;-)

  18. Great idea but my paperwork is too heavy to take out of the house. Maybe this could be my reward if I do it now. Thanks for the inspiration. Fiona
