Before And After

Look at the fabulous renovation going on at Versailles. You can see the rooftop, dormers and balconies on the right before renovation. Now that's what I call a decent 'before and after'. As you can see it was peak tourist season! I got on a bike and rode all through the gardens for hours. I even fellowshipped with a little squirrel..... he only spoke French though and really didn't understand a word I said to him.

A beautiful day.

P.S. And photobucket... it has been days now!.. get your act together! I am sure I speak for thousands of bloggers and online business owners too.

  2. So jealous here it's killing me. Must work on that.

Gold accents on the rooftop really work, don't they? Maybe we should work that into the SJW plan... phase #102 perhaps... gxo

  3. Gorgeous and you're hilarious. My husband always thinks our dog doesn't understand when my mother speaks Greek to her although Mum will beg to differ. Have a great day. x

Yes you have given me wanderlust also.
Its been 10 years since I was in Versaille , I would like nothing more that to ride around the gardens.
You certainly put you time in France to wonderful use.

  6. Yes Karyn, I did not stop for a millisecond. Helped to burn off the gastronomical calories. The weather was glorious. That helped. A-M xx

  8. We could have been there the same day!! We were there on Wed, Mar.30.....how funny that we've both been there so recently! I thought it was just beyond belief. It was a little chilly in the garden though, and we didn't linger for the doggie conversations!! ;)

  9. thanks for your comments!! How fun that we were there in the city at the same time!
Come visit the States!! You could likely do it fairly inexpensively, although I'm not sure how much your transportation would be!!! Everything else would be inexpensive!
    =)
    Take care!

  10. That is so beautiful, it doesn't even seem real, I mean really, who puts gold on their roof tops, oh yeah, the French do. Thanks for sharing. Love, Heidi

P.S. got the book, Reinventing your life and WOW! The answers and understanding of behaviors was amazing. I highlighted some parts and gave the book to the person in my life and then took off running as fast as I could in the opposite direction. I hope it helps.

  13. It looks absolutely *stunning*. I am, however, smiling at the irony of all that gold leaf and all the many man-hours required by artisans to apply it to the roof of a French royal palace, while the rest of France is financially on its knees! ...Time for another revolution!! :D

  14. Hi AM
My dream is to visit Paris. I hope to be able to do it either this or next year. Which brings me to ask you, were you happy staying at the apartments? If so, if you don't mind sharing, what company did you go with?
I love your blog, you truly are an inspiration!
