Random Thoughts On Bathrooms Whilst On Holidays

Isn't this gorgeous? I love 'bath nooks'. I spent last night freeze-framing a movie I was watching just to draw a rough sketch of the beautiful bathroom nook that was featured. I love the cabinetry too. It's nice to see functional cabinetry, something other than just a vanity unit/sink, in a bathroom.
Bathroom food for thought!

The weather down here at the beach has been glorious. We literally spent 4 hours in the ocean this morning. My little one was positively joyous in the waves, reaching out for me when the big ones hit. I have been cherishing our carefree time together. School starts back on Monday so we're savouring every last morsel of these holidays.

I'm off to the casino with friends tonight!
The boys are praying for a 'young and funky' babysitter. They had 'Mrs Doubtfire' last time!

  1. I shall say a prayer to the universe for your boys. I used to love my young and funky babysitters when I was young. In the meantime, what a beautiful bathroom! Great food for thought :) Ash.

  4. Bathroom is gorgeous. I LOVE those days with my kids. You connect on such a different level when on holidays - every moment is precious. When school goes back and life is more hectic, it's never quite the same.

  5. I love the cabinetry, there should be more of it instead of those really dreadful two pack vanities with doors that fall of and drawers that get stuck!!!!!
Young and fun (not funky) might be good!!

  9. Seriously I have been stressing out about you moving that pool furniture and not putting it back. Woke up last night thinking about it!!! I hope you didn't get some pool boy into trouble!

  10. Dubai Eye, I was even eying off the furniture on the balcony last night, thinking how lucky rock stars are that they can chuck furniture over the balcony and into the pool, yet we can't even move furniture around near the pool! We left the pool area yesterday and when I perused the pool area from our balcony on our return to the room, the furniture had all been lined up again by some phantom 'furniture straightener'.... within 5 minutes of us leaving the pool. He must have a spirit level too as I couldn't fault his lines. A-M xx

  11. That is heavenly. I'm so doing the little floor tiles next time. I was showing my friend them the other day. She is building a new house and starting it in a couple of weeks. I can't wait to help her. I need my fix! I forgot to ask how was that babysitter after all? x

  12. Oh, the babysitter!.... she was 'young and funky'! Her name was 'Luba'... which is Russian for love. She was originally from Russia...a language teacher now living here on the coast. She taught my boys all these fabulous card tricks and wouldn't leave until she finished their last game of Uno! They loved her! A-M xx

  13. She sounds like an ace babysitter! Prayer answered ;) But you know, I feel sorry for the "furniture straightener phantom." What a scary world they must live in if the order of pool furniture weighs so heavily on them. Sometimes we have to know when it's ok to "break the rules" and have a little change in our lives. Though of course, perhaps you brought a little excitement to their life! Anyway, I love the (very) subtle nod to anarchy. You go A-M! :)
