Could You Do Blue?

Look at this beautiful blue kitchen by Arent and Pyke.
It's such a perfect blue for a beach house.

It takes guts to do a coloured kitchen.
This is my my most favourite blue kitchen in the universe.
Big statement but true.

Look at those transoms!

Gorgeous.
Could you do blue?

The last weekend before we move house. I am getting up close and personal with cardboard boxes today. I need to go and buy the Saturday papers... as I have run out of packing paper for the last few things not ensconced in boxes yet.

Happy Saturday!

This blue kitchen is just stunning my first house I renovated we did a blue kitchen & yellow walls hee (I know) it did look good though I put sand in the paint to give a Mediterranean texture to the walls it was fun for the first time I think I had colour in nearly every room on the walls but have gotten over that now :))

well have a lovely weekend A.M hope all the packing goes ok for the big move some great homes in your new neigbour hood & I have my fingers crossed for that piece of land. :) x

  12. I could definitely live with that. If it's not white then it would have to be blue!

  14. There is a paint colour that exact shade called 'Snapshot', which I love. (I also love the name!) It's the perfect blue - halfway between the rich, dark tones of navy and the hit-and-miss shades of royal blue. I think it may be Dulux? We've painted our downstairs library in it, and it looks beautiful. But you do need lots of white with it! Leo Schofield did his dining room in a navy – I think it was called 'Bible Black'? - and it received SO much press attention because of it. Navy is definitely IN this year!

  15. This kitchen is completely stunning. I think I would definately do a coloured kitchen, but only if the doors were timber. That way you can always repaint if you need; a bit harder if it was laminate!

  16. This deeper blue is lovely and in the right home would indeed look stunning. Being a black and white girl I couldn't commit but would definitely appreciate visiting this kitchen in a friends home.

  17. Seeing as I'm a huge fan of blue, I could definitely live with that kitchen - it's stunning! I think because there's so much white around it, it's balanced out. Gorgeous!! Happy packing A-M!! x

  26. My girlfriend did her cabinets in that blue years ago (nearly 10 now) and it is still fresh and beautiful today. It doesn't show the dirty fingerprints from the kids like white ones. I always love coming into her kitchen because it's always so fresh and nice.
