Welcome To Villa Maison.....

I had a lovely afternoon at Villa Maison on the weekend. Ashleigh, the Queensland Rep, came in to meet me... even though it was her day off! Brownie points. We lolled around on sofas and sipped water out of pretty glasses...... and drooled over all the gorgeous new pieces in stock.

It's like walking into a French cottage.
Look at those gorgeous Croix chairs... complete with cushion.

I know what I am doing with my old violin music
... the pieces that psychologically damaged me.... or my scale book!

A treasure from Ellie's Collection Prive.
Sourced on her last trip to France and beautifully restored.
Can you imagine the history in this piece?

Love the 'Rhode Island' Collection.
Sorry about the blurriness... I was talking.

I flopped on this one.
They encourage you to road test everything.... for the end customer's benefit of course.

More 'Rhode Island' beauties...

.. with even a butler's tray in the collection.

Unexpected beauty where you least expect it.
Pays to road test everything... you never know what you'll find!
I'd be leaving my drawers open... permanently.

I love the detail.

Oh the ' Dressoir Sorbonne'!

... and the 'Sorbonne' bookcase!
Blurred. Talking.

There's that 'Loire' cabinet again.

It's going to have to have a kitchen designed around it very soon.

Sigh.

Brace yourself.... for ... the 'Sideboard On Wheels'...

It brings out the 'inner science geek' in me.
I seriously love it to bits.

Don't you love their nomenclature?.... 'Sideboard On Wheels'.
No complicated taxonomy here (Kingdom, Phylum, Class, Order, Family, Genus, Species...)
..... just 'Sideboard On Wheels'. Love it.

There's also a 'Coffee Table On Wheels', 'Bookcase On Wheels' and 'TV Table On Wheels'

Love.

Oh, here's the 'Coffee Table On Wheels'...

'TV Table On Wheels'...
I was lying down on a comfy sofa, taking this photo.. see, there's a bit of my frock!
Testing the merchandise.

'Bookcase On Wheels'

Wheels.
Look at the detail....all corners in that range are adorned with metal strips and bolts.

Ok, deep breaths... the new 'Batavia' collection.
This is the 'Bibliotheque'....

... the 'Vitrine'.
I can see this in a stately study, filled with books..... black desk, big armchairs, plush rugs, chandelier.

...'Side Table'...

... and the 'Armchairs'. Be still heart.
Soft cowhide upholstery.... can't you see them in that study?

Speaking of chairs... I sat in many.

Love.

The most comfy?
This one.

I can vouch for it.
I normally don't put my feet up on people's furniture. Tired, trade fair legs.

Look, it comes in an armchair too.

Love.

Bought all their remaining stock of these.
Sigh.

Bought this for a client's son's bedroom.

As for the lights. I bought pretty much every model they have in stock.
Tell you all about them over on my Cape Cod Blog.

If you see anything you like here, email me!

I will be putting my favourite pieces up, with prices, on my Cape Cod Blog as soon as I can
... time permitting...

... you see, my place looks nothing like a 'French Cottage' at the moment... as we're moving.
My boys are still managing to find their way to the piano to do their practice though... good lads.

Happy Tuesday!
I'm off to the shed in my overalls this afternoon to send out my overdue orders.

I had to laugh at the candles with music and brown twine wrapped around them. I specifically went out and bought candles this morning to do this very thing. Lol! I have heaps of vintage music books...it's amazing what you find in Op Shops!

I haven't been to Villa Maison for a few months, I must go back. I could spend hours in there and spend an absolute fortune. Thanks for all the photos...but I'll still have to go back for a visit!

I die. But what I really should be doing is snagging myself a rich man. Or woman. Whatever gets me some of that beautiful stuff.

I feel as though I have just been to a visual feast and over-indulged to the point of making myself ill (in the best way possible!). Stunning pieces. I can only dream of working/living in such an environment, sigh.

Hi A-M,

I'm sure I'm not the only person to come back time and again to look at all the beautiful photo's.

I'm hoping you can help me please. I'm looking for two new beds for my girls. They share a room which isn't very big. The 8 picture down is a snippet of a bedhead which I love and I was wondering if you know much about it. I've just had a quick look on the Villa Maison website but can't find that particular one.

Also, are you planning to stock the lamp and shaving mirror in the same picture? SERIOUSLY IN LOVE!!!!!!

Thanks in advance.

Hi Janine, I do stock the Napels Beds in King, Queen and Single. The next lot of singles are due in 30th April. I will email you all the specs. The lamp is on order so I will be stocking it! A-M xx

Oh those wicker crois dining chairs are the answer to my prayers!

Hi A-M,

Thanks for replying. Can't wait until the 30th April!!!!!!!

I have to say I've been more than a little disappointed with the furniture shops down here. Locally there's not one bed that we've seen and liked enough to buy, not by a long shot. I'd started to think what to do......I was thinking an old door used as a bedhead and someone to make a wooden slat base for me. Always an option I s'pose.

The lamp is divine....I have a serious addiction. Everytime I buy another lamp I vow to myself that it will be the last but then I come unstuck when I see another one that I love. I start nutting out where I'm going to put it.....

I have to say I also LOVE the shaving mirror. Are you going to stock that A-M? If you are you can put my name on one.

Hope you're having a great day.

You can tell by your commentary that you really are good at styling and choosing the right pieces for your clients. Queenslanders are lucky to have you and you deserve the success. Fiona
