Do you know what warmed my heart today?
My 'almost 10 year old' asked if he could have his face painted.
He was desperate to be a tiger.
He's still a little boy.
Once it was underway, he was a little bit worried that the paint might have peanuts in it.
He's very diligent with his anaphylactic peanut allergy.
That warms my heart too... to know that he is so cautious with everything that goes near his mouth and on his skin.
There was yellow glitter too. He was most impressed.
Teenager was not so .... and could be found wandering aimlessly at the end of the mall.
He's been playing the part all day....
... and stopping to investigate every mirror.
"Are you going to put me on your blog Mum?"
Sure am darling.
Love you. xx

What a great face... My youngest is 8 and I hate/love/hate to see him growing up.
ReplyDeleteThis is adorable beyond words. My 10 year old is a young 10...it is nice to see other boys the same. xx
ReplyDeleteWhat a cutie! He's definitely got the growling face down pat :)
ReplyDeleteBless his little cotton socks.

Gorgeous!!!!
ReplyDeleteYou've got to love a little kid moment. I too have a 10 year old and relish any moment that she is still my "little" girl.
ReplyDeleteAlas they are only young for such a short time!!! But they do grow into really beautiful people....eventually!!!!! xx
ReplyDeleteGot to be the dissenter here Sweetie, but I couldn't wait till all mine grow up & flew out into the world! I love the fact that they've all made their way so beautifully. They are even managing to not add any more to their collective traffic fines debt which is still the size of a small European country's GNP. What a fabulous Tiger Master K makes!

What a gorgeous tiger ! Precious memories.
ReplyDeleteMy Big Girl was 10 yesterday; ears pierced, iPod Touch & some Little Miss Lorna Jane wear. She hit the "tween scene" big time yesterday! But I know she'd still be well & truly up for some face painting, tree climbing & imaginative play with the Barbies and Sylvanian Families. Glad to see there are a few more kids like this around.
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous tiger you got!
ReplyDeleteAnette :-)
What fun!! Great face painting
ReplyDeleteWhat a cutie. I love your posts about your boys.
ReplyDeleteHe's too cute A-M!!
ReplyDeleteLove love love
ReplyDeleteAnd so good he is totally onto the allergy - could tell a (scary) story from a (hattend) Syd restaurant - big bday out - and I am still crippled in pain from eating gluten. Talked it through many times before and the worst bit was when they took away one dish - they brought back pasta. Nice. Coeliac means wot? (ohh and I din't eat that dish - the g was hidden).
So on a mission to get the public to understand food allergies are real and awful. Can your son be my front-man?!!!! Food allergies are at epidemic levels!
Where is Michael Pollen when we need him?!
Now that is a face paint that is worth the money! Love it.

ReplyDeleteGreat tiger face! He is adorable.
ReplyDeleteI need to remember to let my kids be little boys. To be silly, make mistakes and be noisy is such a natural state for them. Thanks for reminding me to let them be.
this is beyond precious... stay forever young tiger heart!
ReplyDeleteHe's adorable! And that is some great face painting! My six year old daughter loved it and just asked if we could go there too! I wish sweetie, I wish!

this gave me almost as much pleasure as it gave him! But don't worry about them growing up, they are still themselves (and I think loving my boys has made me much more understanding of men).
ReplyDeleteisnt it great when they show they're still young, makes me want to wrap mine up and preserve him in time when he does it!
ReplyDeletehope you guys are having a lovely easter xxx
