Ain't That The Truth

             Brave Girls Club

Have a look at You can download it to your iPhone or there is a web app that works on all browsers. It's a handy little gratitude journal you can keep close by... and share with others if you wish. You can see what others around the world are grateful for... and you can reflect on what matters to you most as it keeps data on your gratefulness! It's the last thing I do before I go to bed....reflect on my day and what I was grateful for.

Happy Wednesday!

My Most Favourite Store Ever

I know. Big statement. But true.

Their most unassuming website does not prepare one for the real life experience.

I didn't even get to the furniture...

... I just wept over the lights.

Every style you could imagine....

... all there in the one magical emporium.

It truly was an 'Aladdin's Cave'.

People were so calm walking around... as if it was nothing to them....
..... like it's normal to have all this choice!!!!!.... these prices. Weep.

My legs were weak after the whole, emotionally draining experience.
The doorman had a giggle and offered me a chair.
I felt like Crocodile Dundee.

It is 7.03am and I am in 'the shed'. Tuesdays are like that. Guitar Ensemble at 7am so shed at 7.01am
Unpacking some new goodies. After my ABC Carpet and Home experience I am so inspired to expand my range.... as best I can.... here.... in this lighting wasteland we call Australia.

Starting today.

Stay tuned!

Monday Nook

This Monday's Nook can be found on page 150 of this month's Australian 'Home Beautiful' old pantry, now owned by someone else....and most likely not featuring my Masterfoods slow cooker recipe bases! How embarrassment. I should have tidied up the pantry drawers before they took the photos. Recipe bases, tuna, arborio rice, two minute noodles! What was I thinking? Where was I?

Anyway, good old Home Beautiful is the 'gift that keeps on giving'...the glamour continues! You can find the whole pantry feature above in the September Home Beautiful, on the shelves now.

Monday again! Boy the weekends go fast! We had a great weekend.......friends birthday parties, soccer games, family time and sailing trips....and I got some seriously delicious time to myself, which I have been missing since my solo trip to New York and The Hamptons ....two weeks ago now! Do you scheme time by yourself?... I'm getting really good at it now! ....any excuse!

I have lots to talk about this week...lots of blog fodder, thanks to my trip. I will share some more of the Hampton Designer Showhouse and a beautiful interiors shop in New York that stopped me in my tracks!

Have great day! Happy Monday!

A-M xx

P.S. I know, I'm using Blogsy again. We've made up. Sort of. It's ok when you only have one photo to load up!

Restoration Hardware Love

East Hampton

Whenever I stumbled upon a Restoration Hardware store, when I was over the other side of the world, I hightailed it inside. I made the most of it, big time.

5th Ave

I fell seriously in love with their chairs.
I had stalked them on their website...
.... but in real life?...heartstopping.

The perfect library chair!

Rustic grace.

Such statement pieces!
I seriously love these... with all their loose ends and exposed stitching.

They embrace their Orb Chandeliers...
which I have sold out of in my shop....until November .....
...and everyone happens to need them right now, like yesterday even. Sigh.

Look, they even come in a silver option up there!

Very 'Hollywood Regency', the silver.

And look!... super huge versions of my wooden Candelabra Chandelier!... with funky rope chains!

It comes in a full rope-ey version too.
You'd never guess this was the East Hampton store.

So coastal and beachy!

And they even had Birdcage Chandeliers... just like mine...

.... but with chunky rope chains.
Rope is big up there!

Some wonderful inspiration for boys rooms and libraries.

Loved these darling little sconces too. So many uses!

I can source these in Australia, all wired for 240V.
I have now decided to stock them after seeing them in these beautiful rooms.....

Wouldn't it be wonderful to be able to walk in off the street and buy beautiful vanities like these?

Just look at the mirrors! Just what I have been looking for!
Post travel depression.

Glass pendants. Will I ever get over them?

Some spectacular industrial pieces.

Museum worthy....

... but softened with the elegant lines of times gone by...

... and pretty sparkly things!

Happy Sunday!
